Re-production of the original 'Crabtree' switches dating back to 1920. Iconic bakelite switches designed to resemble times gone by when switches began to be a feature of homes. Envisaged for individual use, it enables the design to regain the essence of the past and combine it with modern electrical standards.
The body of this switch has been moulded in solid hardwearing black bakelite in a two part construction.
The switch is a surface mounted model, it does not require a back box. Making them ideal for wooden and cavity walls.
Sold as the wall switch fitting only.
2/Way switch is the standard switch used to turn on and off a light. It can also be used when a light is to be switched on and off from two different places, for example in each end of a corridor or in a staircase to turn on and off from the top and bottom of the stairs.
