Designed in the early 1950's by Galvanitas, its still made with the original tooling in Holland. Its main construction is a strong pressed frame, well formed, sturdy, usable and inexpensive. This is riveted to a seat and back rest made of resin plywood. Originally used throughout Dutch schools in the 1960's, its fast become a classic design and indeed a iconic chair. 'well-formed, sturdy, usable and inexpensive'.

Now given a new look by also releasing an upholstered variant. Because of its minimalist design and industrial appearance, the chair is extremely popular nowadays. The S16 from Galvanitas is without a doubt a classic and fits perfectly into the current interior trends.
